Statistical Map

Statistical Maps are used to display the distribution of a certain variable over a geographic area. In these maps each unit is represented by a shading technique or color that represents a value. These statistics on these maps are expressed as rates, ratio, percentages, or other measures. The variation in quantity of factor such as rainfall, population, or crops in a geographic area is indicated. The Statistical Map above shows the distribution of people using the internet in Northern Africa. As you can see most of the internet use comes from Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
